Reflexology

Last summer whilst back in the UK I suffered a serious episode of mania and had to be taken to hospital. I was put under the care of the mental health team and was seen by psychiatrists, community psychiatric nurses, social workers and support workers. One of these support workers specialised in reflexology and I was offered this complementary treatment. It was fabulous! Reflexology is the application of pressure to the feet, hands or ears. In my experience, my practitioner worked on my feet. Reflexologists believe that certain areas and reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems.
